
POWDER PROCESSING
TPT owns a plant that was originally designed for handling and producing Fluid Cracking Catalyst (FCC), which is being used to produce petrol.
Because of the nature of this FCC, there are silos, bins, and other equipment installed for handling, storing and upgrading these materials. In past years, TPT has stored, handled and upgraded (air-classified, dried, sifted, blended) a number of materials such as cement, bleach-earth, Calcium-salts, etc. as well.
There are various stations for loading, unloading (vacuum) including internal transport systems for these materials. Whether liquid/powder, including acids, caustics, etc. while meeting environmental and safety standards. We also provide value-added services such as filtration, evaporation, ion-exchange, etc.
Outsourcing for third parties is also a possibility.
CHEMICAL REACTIONS
TPT has a full scale chemical plant with a wide variety of reactor capabilities offering a powerful combination to meet your chemical needs.About 13 reactors equipped with steam-heating and water-cooling facilities are available. Some reactors have a scrubber. 6 reactors are in carbon steel and 7 are in stainless steel, each reactor has a mixer.
All reactors have various pipes for adding liquids and some have a bin for dosing powders.

Filtration and Evaporization
Other unit operations to be combined with the value-adding material-handling operations that are possible at TPT are:
Bex Filtration
Belt filters and stirred tanks in an efficient counter-current ion-exchange process. The combination of various belt filters and stirred tanks enables the mixing and separation of liquids and solids
Drum Filtration
Filtration on a drum by means of vacuum, using a pre-coat as a filter medium
Evaporizing/Filtration
Filtered liquids can be concentrated through evaporation by using one or more evaporators
TPT also offers specific value-adding material-handling operations. The intention is that these operations are performed by means of dedicated equipment which implies that specific processes require relatively large quantities.
Particle classification Powders can be separated on particle size, e.g. by sifting out particles smaller than 20 or 30 micron from the bulk of the material. This sifting process is performed by means of an air classifier with feed and product bins.
Flash drying
Fine powders are dried by means of flash dryers. In the flash dryer, the solid substance is exposed to hot air and in this way; the humidity can be reduced to the desired level.
Calcination
In a rotary-drum furnace, powder is calcined at temperatures of up to 800 degree C.
Blending
By fluidization in a special blender, powders can be blended to a homogeneous substance.
SILOPARK
To complement the extensive fleet of liquid tank storage TPT can offer a full dry powder silopark for the storage. TPT owns a plant that is originally designed for handling & producing Fluid Cracking Catalyst, which is being used for cracking oil in the petrochemical industryTPT has a 23 concrete silos which are located near the quay for loading and unloading ships.
15 silos with a volume of 640M3
8 silos with a volume of 180M3
These silos are equipped with dust-collectors, high-level probes, automatic discharge valves, dedicated pipelines for avoiding cross contamination, etc.
From these silos, products can be moved pneumatically for upgrading to the blender, airclassifier, flashdryer, etc.
Or the product can be moved to bins for loading in trucks, railroad-containers, bagging-system, etc.There is an automatic process control system that controls the inventory.
During the unloading of a silo, the products pass through a calibrated pneumatic transport system which weights the actual weight transported, and deducts it from the quantity left. So, at any time it is visible how much of product A is in silo X
WAREHOUSING/PACKAGING
TPT has 3 warehouses for storing supersacks, drums, etc.We can receive and ship the material in any package and by any kind of transport. TPT is specialized in bagging supersacks of approximately 1000kg (2200lbs).
In addition to a wide range of packaging options, we also offer the efficiency of delivering products in seabulks. Seabulks are regular 20ft container with a giant bag (the inner liner) in which approximately 18 tons of material fits.
There are equipments available for loading and unloading seabulks. (Both gravity and vacuum) Optimum packaging is critical for all of our customers. Allow our technical experts to optimize a solution to meet your individual plant requirements.
SHIPS/TRUCKS
TPT has various loading stations for loading the materials that we have been producing or storing for your company.Product can be shipped by truck, supersack, 20-ft container, ship and railroad-container.
Because the weighbridge is near the loading stations, it only takes approximately 30 minutes for most shipments for weighing/loading and documenting.
Optimum fast and efficient packaging is critical for all of our customers. This is why TPT continuously optimizes the internal flow of goods. Since most bins are equipped with loadcells (indicating the weight of the freight) its easy to load the maximum allowed payload.
